Hotel Anker in Bad Breisig

Everything a little "classic style". But perfectly located on the Rhine (great for a walk), decent cuisine, recommendable destination.

There are very good rum sticks at very reasonable prices. Very good salad with it.

Dinner for two. Nice reception, friendly, competent and attentive service. Lamb fillet with French beans and fried potatoes very successful. Price quite reasonable. Fine drinks.

The environment is amazing, hotel right on the water. Simply great for a relaxing weekend. However, the hotel and the furnishings are really showing their age. The cleaning also left a lot to be desired. The bad service as well as the increased prices in the restaurant and café have to be judged negatively.

Horrible service. Waited 15 minutes for the waitress, an older, taller man named Udo, only to get over-salty, burnt potato pancakes. I was offered the Coke for free, until the cheeky Udo gave it to me but I had to wait and was jostled several times by him. Horrible never again

Super Service. Super kitchen. The boss and head waiter understand their trade. Thus, the entire staff is geared towards hospitality. The anchor can be cast as a recreational anchor.

The hotel is very suitable for the 3 stars, clean and tidy. The prices are also okay, the food is delicious and the view is just great.

Lunch was over, not all seats were taken, but two waiters managed to skilfully ignore us for 25 minutes. We just wanted to eat !!! Other guests were greeted profusely and asked what they could bring, but they weren't even at the table yet. We sat right at the entrance, so not to be overlooked. Still not worth looking at. That happened to us once before in the summer of 2018. Conclusion: NEVER AGAIN !!! By the way, the disinfectant on the dispenser smelled like water with a dash of chlorine.

The schnitzel at the restaurant is highly recommended. The portions are generous and the meat is very tender. It was one of my first experiences with German food and I quite liked it. It is more for those who like a meat-heavy meal every once in a while though. But I suppose that goes without saying.

The location is great, right on the Rhine. Room clean, just a small fridge should be available. The staff is very friendly and the food is good. We were also very satisfied with the breakfast buffet.

We ate there every evening, the food was very, very good ... fast and very hot ... especially plentiful and cheap ... also the service very friendly and courteous ... I can only recommend ... of course there are also people who just have to nag ... we really didn't have it, but also nothing to complain about ... I can only go on recommend!!!!

We waited over an hour for our food. When asked about it, the waiter says it's always like that with us. I would certainly have gotten the food faster and, above all, tastier in a chip shop. We'll definitely never go back here.

So I'm not going to anchor in the restaurant anymore. You wait more than an hour for your meal here. It arrives cold and doesn't taste good either. I think it's an impertinence to wait so long for the food. Never again! I'd rather save the money. It's really not worth it.

Quaint hotel with its own restaurant right on the Rhine. Very clean rooms and courteous service, especially in the restaurant. Special requests in the restaurant were taken into account, here the guest is definitely king!

Was here for a 3 night stop over with some friends when we toured round Germany , The owner was very nice he even asked us did we want to put our motorbikes in his garage as he had a bike of his own. It was a few years ago now but if it's the same people who it I can't thank them enough we where well looked after. Thankyou .

I give it 3 stars because my parents have eaten at the Hotel Anker several times and so far always to their satisfaction. We were there today at noon and unfortunately not entirely to my satisfaction. The order was for 2 x rump steak, 1 x roast beef, 1 x chicken breast. Side salad came quite quickly, then we waited about 35 minutes for the main course to arrive. Unfortunately, only 3 meals came, when asked where the fourth meal was, the waiter wanted to be funny and said: better wait 2 minutes longer than get a raw chicken! So I don't think it's funny. The kitchen should be able to bring 4 meals for one table at the same time! I had ordered rump steak medium, what I got was a rump steak well done. The waiter offered to give it back, but I didn't want to wait another 35 minutes for my meal, so I declined. As a small excuse we got a pudding (see photo). Sunday noon, the hotel was well attended. Plenty of staff behind the counter, so probably prepared for anything or not. I also think that the kitchen staff could arrange the plates nicer, such as B. a small leaf of lettuce, tomato, orange ... because the eyes eat too! Sorry, but there are too many great, delicious, friendly restaurants and therefore I will not come back again!

Pretty nice view and tasty food

It has been a good experience to stay in this beach hotel on the shores of Rhine River. The food is fantastic!!!!

This hotel has nice clean rooms (smelly bathroom but fine) nice service and good food. I just wasn't ready for a loud disco in the ground floor. We were traveling from the south of France to Denmark and looking forward to a restful night before a long drive the next day. At writing point it is 01.30 and I have no idea when it stops. Everything else just doesn't matter with something like this.
